Whether it brings joy or longing, it surely brings understanding and perspective about your family members or relationships. And those keepsakes are there not only for you but for generations that follow. Or are they?

 

 
You can be sure that you and yours will be left with more than those cloudy recollections and second-hand stories. National Grief Support Services looked far and wide to find a trusted source. We realize if a company lost or damaged your photographic memories, that it would be devastating. Video-Sync Entertainment, a member of our Compassion Cooperative, is offering generous rates through GriefSupportServices.org to preserve your earliest and dearest photographic and audiovisual treasures. These special rates allow you to keep priceless audio, video, home-movie film and photographs on CD or DVD files you can pass around and preserve, as well as having them digitized for virtual memories or legacies you may wish to create. Not only that, but a portion of your investment in lasting memories also benefits the nonprofit work of National Grief Support Services Inc., including this website.

Your photographs will be scanned, cropped, and saved as .jpg or .gif files in either 72 dpi (dots per inch) for web use, or 150-300 dpi for print use.
 
Cost: 90 cents per photo
You will send the photos to Video-Sync, using a secure method such as Fed-X, UPS, or insured Postal service. Video-Sync will complete your work in one week. Rush service is available for funerals or memorial services, at a small additional charge. Your scanned photos can be sent to you electronically, at no additional charge, or you may choose to have them copied to DVD or CD.
Cost: $20.00 per DVD or $10.00 per CD
Your videos will be digitized and saved as .wmv (Windows Media Player for PC Users) or .mov files (Quicktime files for PC or Mac Users). This is the format needed if you wish to play your cd or dvd on your computer, or if you want to use the footage on your virtual memorial or tribute.
 
Cost: $1.50 per minute, which includes compression. If you require the technician to edit the clips you want transferred by starting and stopping for select portions, there will be an additional fee of $1.75 per stop.
Cost: For straight transfers from video to DVD, (no editing), it’s $25.00 for up to 110 minutes transferred to DVD, and each additional copy for $10.00. Prices can go as low as $5.95 per DVD for quantities of 50 or more.
Video-Sync can also take your videotapes and transfer them directly onto DVD and preserve them while they are still in good condition. Your tapes may be deteriorating before your very eyes. Videotape is a poor medium for long-term storage, and most tapes are only designed to last up to 20 years or less.

With DVD, you can preserve your video for 100 years or more.
Cost: $20.00 per DVD or $10.00 per CD

*DVD-Rs will work on 99% of all DVD players manufactured in the last 2 years. Some older models may have trouble reading DVD-Rs or freezing up.

Rush service is available for funerals or memorial services, at a small additional charge. Your digitized video can be sent to you electronically, at no additional charge, and your DVDs will be safely returned to you via UPS, Fed-X or insured U.S. Postal Service.
   
Using technologically advanced equipment Video-Sync is able to transfer your old film footage directly to VHS or DVD, (for an additional charge), preserving your precious memories for future generations. Your footage will be cleaned, put onto 400’ reels and then transferred directly onto the medium of your choice resulting in only the best quality transfer.
Formats

Video Sync can transfer 8mm, super 8mm, and 16mm film to VHS Video, or DVD(for an additional charge) Your film will be transferred and then digitized as a .mov file(for an additional charge) if you are using them on the Ways to Remember section of this site.
Video-Sync offers the highest quality services for Film to Video transfers whether to Analog or Digital media at prices that are affordable either to the public or the post production industry.
